Thai drivers do not understand the concept of pedestrians being part of the traffic. Be careful, especially with motorbikes, they meander through the cars. Unlike in the West, traffic will not hold before a pedestrian crossing, probably they think a Zebra-crossing is a kind of pop-up art consisting of white stripes painted on the road.
